In collaboration with Youth Media Project and other nonprofits we bring youth voices to decision-making tables, public forums, and civic engagement opportunities. Like all other aspects of Youth Allies, this program is designed to develop leadership, confidence, and opportunities such that the future leadership of our community more accurately reflects its diversity. For that reason we work particularly hard to recognize and raise the voices of minority and low-income youth.

This program also connects youth to presentation opportunities at regional conferences as well as public speaking & civic engagement opportunities with local campaigns.

In addition, we support youth placement on decision-making bodies such as the Juvenile Justice Board, City Task Forces, and nonprofit boards including our own.

Youth Voices for Change includes monthly radio segments on sustainability & social justice issues which are aired on KSFR as well as online broadcasts.
